We are always surprised, and more so in Montgomery County, when we receive true value for our expended dollars. Such is the case In our experience with your company, from start to finish. First, there was the bright and pleasant Beverly, who put us on your books efficiently and attentively considering our family's schedule.

 

John's estimate, rendered promptly, was right on the mark. I read it several times to make sure he hadn't missed anything. He didn't. Everything he promised was accomplished, including use of the new Benjamin Moore "Aura" paint. What a difference it has made on our house! We were very surprised and happy with his estimated cost and want you to know that this was a major component in our decision to choose Bethesda Chevy Chase Painting. Frankly, we were afraid that we couldn't afford you. Also, from John's estimate of work duration to be 3-4 days, we had a good feeling that this would be a thorough job. It was, in every respect.
 

Then, there were the master craftsmen, the painters, under Gonzalo's quiet and steady leadership. Each crewmember worked independently and skillfully, but together as a productive team, starting from their arrival in the morning until their departure. As with any job such as this, there were a few minor, additional things I asked Gonzalo to do to give us 100% satisfaction. He accomplished them all cheerfully and professionally.

This letter is to thank you for the splendid job that you and your painting crew did for my husband and me in August. Your painted the aluminum siding and trim (excluding brick facade) of our colonial and two-car garage. The siding and the trim were in poor shape, with extensive rotten wood, fading, peeling and mildew.

 

We contacted your company because it had a very good reputation on Angie's List. I was impressed initially with the very professional reception that I got from Beverly, who answered the phone and made the appointment for an estimate. I was further impressed by your professional attitude and the very detailed estimate that you provided me on the spot.

 

It was important to me that you proposed to use only first quality materials on the job. It was also important to me that you proposed to treat existing mildew before painting and to add a mildewcide to the paint to prevent recurrence of the problem (something that no other bidder proposed). Although your estimate was not the lowest that we received, my husband and I felt that we would be getting the most value for our money with your company.

 

As the work proceeded, it became apparent that there was substantially more rotten wood that would need to be replaced than had been apparent during the estimate. Your estimate for the additional carpentry and finish work was very reasonable, under circumstances in which we had little choice but to proceed with the work. I was not home during most of the work, but my husband was very pleased with Armando and his crew. I arrived at the end of the process, and Armando was quick to respond to the minor requests I had on the final walkthrough.

 

We would be very happy to recommend your company to anyone who is considering a major exterior painting project.

Dear Jonn,

 

When my daughter-in-law offered in October to paint my guest bathroom, I realized that two baths badly needed a lot of work - both had peeling wallpaper and other flaws. I decided that painting them was the best option. My neighbors had had most of the inside of their home recently

painted by your company, and I took their suggestion and called you. The lady who took my call said that John would be out the next day for an estimate. He came as scheduled, gave me an estimate (which I accepted), and told me they would start the middle of the next week. Meanwhile, I selected colors and removed hardware.

 

Jose and his "crew" of four showed up as John had promised on Wednesday of the next week, and immediately set to work stripping wallpaper, patching, sanding, caulking and priming the wall, ceiling and woodwork, while Jose went for the paint. They worked from early morning to late afternoon, and then to mid-day the next, chattering constantly under the supervision of Patrick, Jose's underboss. We shared jokes and cokes and by Thursday noon, they were finished, having done a really fine job. Everything was clean and tidy and sparkling.

 

Jose came by the next week to get the remainder of my payment and did some final detailing, for which I am very grateful. Chevy Chase Painting Co. and its little army did a fine (and prompt) job for me. I would certainly recommend this company for anyone's painting needs.

We couldn't be happier upon seeing the results of the recent paint job George and his crew did

on our house!

 

As you know, the results of former work over the past 42 years led to excessive peeling, cracking, and chipping around windows and especially on the four pillars on our front portico. We got several estimates before selecting your company. Even after asking each estimator if they would burn off the old paint, none were willing to do so, saying sanding would be enough. We had visions of living with the same problem in 2 years that we have suffered these many years! Thankfully, you saw the extent of the damage and George and his men spent many, many days removing all the old paint down to the bare wood. It was slow and labor intensive work, but the men were gracious, mannerly and always pleasant. They were all a joy to have on this project.

 

We are so grateful for the lovely results the crew achieved and thank you all very much for a job well done. We have lots of walkers in our neighborhood and so many of them mentioned how nice the house looks now and made very favorable comments about the work ethic of your workers ... we certainly were impressed by the men. Two days ago, Gonzalo and his three-man crew finished painting our living room/dining room, stripping and re-wallpapering our foyer and hall, and painting ceilings, woodwork, and outer doors.

Each day they arrived promptly, worked quietly and steadily, wasted no time, and finished the project in record time. Gonzalo had everything organized so that each person knew what to do.

 

Ours was a difficult wallpapering job, since the foyer had a high wall by the stairs. I had chosen a flowered pattern that required exact matching. You had told me that Gonzalo was "the best wallpaperer," and I heartily agree! The walls look elegant. Besides the papering, he worked with me in every area and at every stage to be sure what I wanted. Then, he carried it out.

 

The painters had a challenge, too, since the living room and dining room have cathedral ceilings. As well as doing excellent work, they were so respectful. For example, as I was working

downstairs, one of the young men was painting the woodwork on the stairs. When he reached the bottom, he kept his eyes on the floor as he turned around, so as not to disturb.

 

Your receptionist, Beverly, was also a pleasure to deal with. Just hearing her cheerful voice was always a boost to the day. Also, I could count on her to follow through with messages.

 

I could count on you, too, to return my calls and answer every question and concern to my satisfaction. It was nice to meet your father as he came by to check on things one day. You both

add the personal family touch that makes your company special.
